Course description

This course covers Integrity server virtualization using the HPE Integrity Virtual Machines (VM) software. Learn to fully use the flexibility of the HPE Integrity VM software to maximize the resource utilization of your Integrity servers and develop the skills needed to install, configure, and manage HPE Integrity Virtual Machines. The two day course is 50 percent lecture and 50 percent hands-on labs using HPE Integrity servers.

  • Preparing the Physical Server:
    • Integrity VM requirements
    • Creating virtual networks and storage backing devices
    • Reserving access to VM host devices
    • VM host HP-UX upgrade
  • Creating and Running Integrity Virtual Machines:
    • Integrity VM administration, configuration, and VM management
    • VM CPU, memory, and I/O allocation
    • Accessing a VM console
    • Starting and stopping a VM
    • Suspend and resume a VM


After completing this course, you should be able to do the following:
  • Define the relationship between a VM host and VM guest
  • Install HP Virtual Machines software on a properly configured HP Integrity server
  • Configure, boot, monitor, modify, and manage VM guests
  • Boot the VM host
  • Use the Virtual Machines Manager to monitor a VM environment
